Louis Tripp reprised his role as Terry, this time as the movie’s lead. Surprise, the first straight horror release of the year belonged to Tibor Takács‘s follow-up to his 1987 gateway horror movie. Here’s a look back at 1992’s horror movie highlights. Beyond franchise sequels and emerging classics, 1992 seemed to embrace horror-comedies, and thrillers were all the rage. But 1992 also delivered an all-time classic, a massive-scaled period epic that took home the highest-grossing horror prize for the year, plenty of Stephen King, and a few titles with an enduring grip on pop culture. Our next show is the Holiday Special this November 18-19, 2023.Happy 30th anniversary to 1992’s Class of Horror Movies! Still early into a decade often ranked the worst for the genre, the year’s theatrical output strongly favored sequels to beloved ’80s favorites. In 2022, we started with February 19-20, followed by April 23-24, and then August 12-14, November 11-12, and finally December 17-18. And a surprise addition, we hosted a special "Day of Cheer" on Decema FREE admission event with several vendors and special guests. In 2021, the Dallas Comic Show returned with THREE events - the first being a single-day show on June 26, the second a two-day show August 21-22, and the third being November 6-7, and all three events will be held at the Music City Mall in Lewisville, TX. In 2020, due to Coronavirus concerns, we decided to go on hiatus and not attempt public gatherings, which was probably for the best. In 2019, we had three shows - the first April 6-7 in Richardson, then August 10-11 in Lewisville, TX, and finally November 23-24 in Richardson. In 2018 we had two fun events happening, August 25-26, and November 17-18. Our third event was at the Irving Convention Center on February 11-12, 2017, and our fourth back at the Richardson Civic Center on September 16-17, 2017. ![]() Our inaugural shows were held at the Richardson Convention Center - in the Spring of 2016 (April 23-24) and in late Summer 2016 (August 6-7). This is show run by fans and done for fans.
